Art Iron — Design Assist Project

St. Vincent Hospital Heart Center

Toledo, Ohio

With a Design / Assist / Build program, the New St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center Heart Pavilion in Toledo, Ohio was successfully completed through a partnership with Art Iron, Inc. and the Mercy Health Partners construction team. The design and construction consisted of a structural steel frame with a glass curtain wall, and brick facade.

In January 2005, the initial architectural concept drawings for the 4 story, 144,000 square foot facility were created. Just ten months later, in October 2005, erection of the main steel framing was completed. A final piece, the walkway bridge, to the existing facility was installed on December 3, 2005.
